    Offside: Kick Ignorance Out! Football Unites, Racism Divides - 2010 / 2012

    This year’s [2010] World Cup provides a chance for people to see what happens on the field of play and learn about South Africa’s rich history. The Offside exhibition brings this idea and offers an exciting history of some of our nation’s pioneering players.


    Chamber of Dreams: Photographs of the van Kalker Studio - 2012

    The Van Kalker photographic collection is a vault of private moments in which special events such as weddings, birthdays, graduations and christenings were immortalised and memorialised.


    District Six: People Lived Here - 2012

    The Dutch photographer Jansje Wissema was commissioned by the then Cape Institute of Architects (now the Cape Institute for Architecture) to record District Six in the 1970s when it was known that the government was intent on destroying the area.


    Spring Queen: The Staging of the Glittering Proletariat - 2013

    This exhibition was hosted at the D6M Homecoming Centre and was curated by Siona O’Connell and Dale Washkansky from the Centre for Curating the Archive at the University of Cape Town.
